Rituals Animation

This was my final 2nd year project which was set to the theme of rituals. In researching the theme rituals I discovered that maypole dancing was in-fact traditionally done as a fertility ritual in medieval times. I immediately knew that I wanted to explore the idea of fertility and the way mating rituals themselves connect us to a more primal time of nature. My final animation became a cyclical narrative displaying the cyclical nature of mating rituals.
